Sautjan Shiraz 2007 - ReviewSautjan Vineyard Shiraz 2007

Made by Sautjan (S17) in Australia (region: Macedon Ranges) .

A dry, still, red wine with 13% alchohol tasted on 3rd May 2009.

Grape: Shiraz

Quality: Good

Value: Above Average

Cost: Usually between $20.00 - $20.00.

Looks: Good black purple colour, not bright or glowing, but a nice blue centre. Medium in body.

Smells: Blueberries

Feels: Medium bodied

Tastes:
Much like the Chardonnay, this states its intent as a cool climate wine from the get go. This is not about fruit juice flavours at all - however there is blueberry and blackberry fruit acids in abundance. The weight is medium at best, and tannins are lightly sandy. Finish is a little short. This wine really grew on me - the more I drank, the more I appreciated where they are heading with this. Again, I want to follow this label and see where the journey takes this wine.
